Ideally, a teaching administrator with an outgoing personality and the ability to multi-task will hold the position of Education Coordinator. The Education Coordinator is responsible for daily student schedule changes and maintains flexibility with respect to teacher changes and parent requests. In addition, the Education Coordinator will sell programs, manage schedule, and work with students.

Weekly schedule will be similar to the below schedule, but may vary as needed.

Monday-Thursday: 3pm-8pm

An Education Coordinator MUST possess the following qualifications:

  • Excellent SALES ability—The Education Coordinator MUST be equipped to sell the
Omega Learning® Center program to people who call or walk in
  • Ability to MULTI-TASK with ease— Must be able to perform many administrative
functions, including, but not limited to: scheduling students and assigning teachers for tutoring sessions and conferences
  • Perform daily center-based customer relations, managing telephone calls, email, and
walk-in queries; administer point-of-sale transactions
  • Greet arriving students; see off departing students; manage student safety during
their ingress and egress
  • Manage and communicate tutor and student schedules; manage schedule changes,
absences, and substitutions; schedule student assessments and parent conferences
  • Manage computer based scheduling and communication; perform associated data entry
  • Administer student and curriculum paper filing system
  • Perform opening and closing activities, daily cleaning and organizing, and management of consumable supplies
  • Provide other daily operations coordination services to the tutoring staff as needed
  • Perform other similar duties at the direction of the Center/Conference Director

Minimum Qualifications

  • Warm, engaging, positive, and outgoing personality, with a genuine love of and
passion for children and young adults from 5 to 18 years of age (K- 12)
  • Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, be flexible, and self-manage
  • Experience working collaboratively and positively with other professionals in a fast-paced environment, preferably in an educational setting
  • Fluency in the English language
  • Strong written communication skills; ability to quickly produce error-free professional
correspondence
  • Strong verbal communication skills; adept at quick, genuine, enthusiastic promotion of
the Omega concept to prospective customers; adept at building rapport and positive
relationships with students, their parents, their teachers, and our tutors
  • Adept and comfortable with daily computer use; knowledgeable in MS Windows, MS
Office, and MS Internet Explorer; adept at learning proprietary business software
systems
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in business administration, education, or similar related field
from an accredited college or university; Teaching certificate preferred
  • Prior work experience involving similar duties, tasks, and levels of responsibility
