The Scoop
As Editorial Director, you will create an engaging, world-class digital presence for Katalyst. In this role, you will be responsible for taking consumer-targeted, research-based narratives from concept to publication. Ultimately, you should be able to maintain quality and consistency across media types, web platforms and internal/external communication channels in order to drive increased traffic, brand visibility and engagement.
This position is fully remote. West Coast candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Write clear and compelling copy to describe Katalyst and full-body EMS.
- Develop narratives and story ideas that educate and inform consumers.
- Build an evergreen content engine driven by a diverse team of staff, freelance and SME contributors.
- Ensure all content we produce is true to the product and consistent with our brand.
- Conduct competitive research to understand the landscape and the place of Katalyst within it.
- Apply SEO principles to maximize reach to our target audience.
- Delegate assignments to in-house team members and freelancers.
- Ensure all published content meets quality standards.
- Monitor and report on web presence and traffic.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven work experience as an Editorial Director within a high-growth, digital business.
- Digital editing skills with an exceptional portfolio of published work.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a consistent “can-do” attitude.
- Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress).
- Strong background working alongside online marketing campaigns.
- A desire to follow broader cultural conversation around key topic areas: health and wellness, fitness, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple work streams at once.
The salary range for this role is $135,000 to $200,000.
This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and business needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
