This is a fully remote position.


SUMMARY OF OVERALL PURPOSE


Under the direction of the Director of Sales Operations, the EDI Specialist will serve as the subject matter expert and administrator for all enrollment data from benefit administration systems as it relates to the Trustmark Group and Worksite products in support of our Sales and Operation teams. The EDI Specialist will work with our third party vendors on the implementation and maintenance of enrollment file data as well as working with our internal business partners in the division to ensure we are meeting business needs in regards to timing and efficiency.

Implementation

  • Lead discussions on file implementation for Trustmark election data to ensure successful onboarding of client policies and employee certificates
  • Implement / administer / maintain policy and certificate files as it relates to new enrollments and changes; includes work with third party ben admin and broker partners
  • Work with Sales, Sales Ops, Operations and IT Integration teams to successfully onboard new cases with benefit administration partners, including setup documentation, customer calls, file mapping, file testing and implementation
  • Assist Operations with file processing / management / governance
  • Evaluate current processes and systems for efficiencies and file maintenance

File Maintenance

  • Administer existing file setups to ensure they are running smoothly
  • Manipulate data files as needed for ad hoc / initial files for all Group clients and as needed for Worksite clients, working with Internal and External users
  • Review daily logs for file errors and work with IT to review and process any data with errors
  • Triage missing data between business and IT
  • Evaluate current processes and systems for efficiencies and file maintenance

Process

  • Participate as the Subject Matter Expert of projects where enrollment data solutions are impacted or expertise is needed to meet business needs
  • Work with the divisional Operations area to define parameters / key metrics to drive sales behavior through data, dashboards and activity reporting including VBS Insights
  • Analyze and optimize file workflows, suggesting ideas for platform design and setup

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE


Minimum Requirements


Preferred


  • Three to five years of experience implementing and working with files in various formats
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal Trustmark staff and third-party vendors
  • Detail-oriented and able to stay on task and keep others on task, as needed
  • Ability to learn quickly and be comfortable asking questions and seeking answers
  • Strong oral communication skills, willingness to acknowledge inquiries and be responsive/proactive with current project requests and status

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, computer science or other related field preferred
  • Familiarity with analytics and/or database management
  • Expertise in data integration and data management methods and tools
  • Reporting/querying of data
  • Ability to successfully communicate with both technical and LOB executives, garner senior-level support and respect with knowledge of the organizational culture, sales and marketing processes
  • Ability to interact w/business users and translate business needs into solutions
