Hours: 1st Shift

Monday-Friday 7:00 AM- 3:30 PM


The Role in a NUTSHELL:

Do you enjoy going on scavenger hunts? Does creative writing appeal to you? Spending hours at your computer looking at vintage/retro items call your name? If yes, then this is the job perfect for you. Reporting to the eCommerce Manager, the eCommerce Assistant: Lister is an entry-level position that is responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties in support of Goodwill’s eCommerce store. This position instills an appreciation for value and Customer Experience.

What You’ll DO:

Main Functions:

  • Assisting with research to verify authenticity, value, age, etc. of posted items.
  • Writing detailed, accurate, creative item descriptions to maximize visibility.
  • Posting items daily to eCommerce website
  • Ensuring quick but accurate placement of high-quality merchandise on-line
  • Meeting production numbers as set by divisional management

Additional Functions:

  • Photographing items to post on-line, ensuring proper lighting, cleanliness and item markings and defects are shown.
  • Assisting in the selection of products, as needed
  • Categorizing items to indicate those listed, vs. those ready for shipment, to ensure accuracy by other team members.
  • Assisting in the packaging/shipping process as needed to meet volume requirements and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Maintaining the safety, cleanliness and organization of the eCommerce area to help facilitate success of enclave employees.
  • All other duties assigned by the eCommerce Manager

This job operates in a warehouse setting.


Physical Demand

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a physical role. The employee must have the ability to communicate verbally and apply active listening skills and bend, squat, crawl, climb, reach, and stand as necessary. This role requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull medium weight up to 50 pounds. Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked change in temperature and humidity and exposure to dust.

Who You ARE:

eCommerce Assistant: Lister will be a proven leader with the following:

  • Proficiency in Windows and Office environments
  • Knowledge, use and ability to take high quality digital photos for online listings
  • Strong knowledge of internet research skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, retail experience helpful
  • Outstanding research and troubleshooting abilities, including on-line research
  • Proven exceptional writing, grammar, and spelling skills
  • Ability to write creative descriptions to capture attention
  • Knowledge of unusual, valuable, or collectible merchandise
  • Familiarity with a warehousing and/or shipping environment
  • Tolerant of long periods of time sitting in front of computer monitor
