The Dual Enrollment/Early College Programs Coordinator oversees the administrative functions and activities related to the dual enrollment and early college programs at CSM and local high school campuses. The Coordinator plans and implements dual enrollment/early college procedures and reviews and streamlines processes in accordance with CSM and our K-12 partnerships. Additionally, the individual in this position interacts with school site administrators, personnel from multiple school districts, staff from the County Office of Education, and other partners. The Coordinator reports to the Director of Academic Operations.

Essential Functions:
- Serves as CSM’s primary point of contact for K-12 partners regarding dual enrollment and early college activities in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s Counties.
- Ensures that agreements (i.e., MOUs) with K-12 partner school districts are in accordance with College policies and applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Reviews contracts and other legal documents to ensure that all contractual requirements are being fulfilled. Brings non-compliant or potentially non-compliant issues to supervisor’s immediate attention. Works with supervisor and relevant units to ensure compliance.
- Coordinates recruitment and outreach efforts with Admissions to potential dual enrollment and early college students and their families through activities such as high school visits and presentations, student/parent information nights, distribution of program information to outside organizations, summer event participation, and attendance at internal and external activities where recruitment could occur.
- Provides information to K-12 administrators, counselors, prospective students and their families, and the public about the goals, objectives, eligibility, admission requirements, application procedures and other policies and procedures for CSM dual enrollment and early college programs.
- Collaborates with K-12 administrators instructional services regarding course schedules, high school-college courses equivalencies, high school graduation requirements, and policies and procedures relevant to dual enrollment and early college programs.
- Serves as a liaison between partnering K-12 leadership and the College’s academic deans to coordinate the scheduling of dual enrollment course offerings.
- Collaborates with college departments to ensure that information regarding dual enrollment and early college programs is up-to-date on all printed materials and on the College website.
- Coordinates efforts with various campus departments to guide, assist, monitor, and ensure seamless scheduling, enrollment, registration, and continuous support for dual-enrolled/early college students in accordance with internal policies and in compliance with oversight agency rules and regulations. Ensures all paperwork collected is complete and accurate.
- Monitors dual enrollment numbers and overall program effectiveness. Develops and assesses Service Area Outcomes. Identifies other appropriate performance/activity metrics and captures and analyzes collected data. Apprises supervisor of progress toward and attainment of program goals.
- Tracks the academic progress of dual enrollment and early college students and facilitates the retention of dual enrollment and early college students after high school graduation to help students advance towards college completion and transfer/career goals.
- Identifies and resolves operational problems, administrative issues, and other workflow matters raised by faculty, K-12 partner administrators, and/or students in the program. Maintains effective communication and ensures timely reciprocal exchange of information with key stakeholders.
Additional Duties:
- Performs other related work as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of two (2) years of related work experience in academic affairs, student services, outreach, recruitment, or school relations activities. Combined experience/education totaling six (6) years may substitute for college degree.

- Knowledge of FERPA requirements.
- Knowledge of student information systems.
- Expertise in advising within a higher education setting.
- Experienced in counseling (and/or coaching) students.
- Experienced working with multi-cultural perspectives.
- Able to work independently and as a team member
- Skilled in counseling and/or academic advisement experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; including public speaking.
- Excellent conflict resolution and collaboration skills; ability to build consensus.
- Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and carry out required project details.
- Skilled at making data informed decisions.
- Ability to organize and chair meetings, lead workshops, facilitate group discussions.
- Ability to maintain detailed records and historical data.
- Ability to analyze situations and adopt and implement an effective course of action.
- Ability to meet schedules and deadlines.
Work Requirements:
- Must have a reliable form of transportation to travel to off-site schools and other locations.
- Must be willing to work evening hours and/or weekends on occasion for special events.
- Must be able to move from one work area to another.
Physical Requirements
- The work is light work which requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
