DARS a 2022 ATD Best Winner in Talent Development is seeking a
DSA
Logistics Assistant to position are to perform the logistical, site services, and inventory responsibilities for DARS Central Offices and serve as first point of contact for occupants’ needs at Central Office and General Services related needs at VR field offices.
Will provide logistic services and program support to include, Surplus Property, Records Retention, Card/Camera administration, Lease management support, and daily Site Services Support to Central Office and associated activities as needed. Independently provide services for Central Office to include, but not limited to Conference Room set ups, Key Management, Mail and Courier Operations, Building Maintenance, Building Generator Administration, Moves, Bulk supply distribution.
Perform all procurement duties for the Logistics Unit to include finding vendors for projects and paying all invoices received. Perform duties supporting the DSA Fleet Manager and if needed, the General Services & Logistics Manager, to include assistance in leases, lease activities/task, and field office support. Serves as backup to GS Fleet Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
License:
- Driver’s license or Ability to obtain a Virginia Driver’s License prior to employment and a Safe driving record.
Education &/or Experience:
- Graduation from high school with some college or university course work in business, real estate and/or related operational, administrative, and logistics experience, however, job specific training and experience may substitute for lack of a college education.
Demonstrate Ability or Demonstrated in:
- In supporting business functions in the public sector or within a large corporate environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work well with others.
Knowledge:
- Of the principles and practices of lease administration, building management, renovations, and planning & coordinating office moves.
- Of contract administration, public procurement, policies and procedures.
- And ability to create/maintain spreadsheet and maintain data base information on PC based system.
Ability:
- To prioritize work based upon competing deadline.
- To provide support at separate locations through occasionally visits and remotely.
- To respond to afterhours emergencies/urgent items on rotating basis or when assigned as an essential staff member.
Additional Requirements:
- Skills and ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Possess customer-centric and team-based mentality.
- Have the ability to quickly adjust and adapt to shifting job demands to meet internal and external time frames.
- Have excellent organization skills.

Experience
- In property management, leasing, logistics, and operations.
