In fall 2022 Young Musicians Unite will provide free music education to 3500 public school students across Miami in a safe and fun learning environment. YMU is searching for part-time music teachers to join our team, leading music programs for middle or high schoolers enrolled in MDCPS Public Schools.

- Concert-level proficiency on each instrument you teach
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching/Performing Experience in at least one of the following genres: Drumline, Jazz, Band (Horns, Drumline, Marching), Modern Band (Rock Ensemble)
- Bachelor's Degree in Music or higher; or equivalent practical experience in the field
Your job will include the following:
- Teach group music classes (10-25 students) in elementary, middle, or high school
- Prepare repertoire for a performance at the end of each semester
- Assist in facilitating the end of semester concert
- Assign grades to students on a daily basis
- Submit daily class feedback to the YMU Regional Program Director
- Manage inventory of student instruments and equipment
- Work in collaboration with other YMU teachers and follow the YMU curriculum
- Comply with YMU Teacher handbook and policies
Amount $35-52 per class
