Job description
Observation and collection of urine samples from probationers of the same gender. Must have at least a High School Diploma. Must be US citizen or have legal immigrant status. Must pass a background check. Must complete a psychological evaluation and pass a drug test.
Shift
8:00am - 5:00 Monday-Friday
- “Directly” observe the collection of urine samples from probationers of the same gender.
- Direct Observation is defined as directly observe the urine stream of the donor enter the urine specimen cup, thus eliminating any possibility of donor adulteration or substitution.
- Accurately reading the results of the test according to the manufacturer’s instructions
- Accurately completing the “Chain of Custody Form”
- Document results in the CSCD Software
- If negative, Distribute completed chain of custody forms to the supervising officer
- If results of the cup are positive, contact the supervising officer immediately
- Provide court testimony in a factual and objective manner as directed by the courts
- Performs other assigned duties as directed
- General working knowledge of personal computers, data entry, keyboarding, and ability to learn and use necessary software.
- CSCD employees are expected to use professional courtesy, discretion and sound judgment when engaging in any contact with clients, co-workers, court personnel and other employees and the public.
- CSCD Employees are further responsible for maintaining confidentiality of information, maintaining professional relations while engaging in job related tasks, cooperating with others to resolve conflict and achieve goals, and maintaining a pleasant attitude.
- Must be able to complete work accurately and independently.
- Must speak, read and write English fluently.
- Must be US citizen or have legal immigrant status.

High School diploma required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must have the ability to stand on feet and walk short distances for most of the 8-hour day.
- Daily sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, pulling, reaching and lifting of items possibly weighing 40 pounds or more.
