Job Summary:

Transport the residents of John Knox Village to and from destinations in a safe and courteous manner.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Routinely provides assistance in lifting and transferring residents and lifting/balancing the equivalent of 50 pounds.
• Assists residents and other transportation drivers as needed.

• Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs performed on any vehicle.

• Work days, evenings, and weekends to perform required duties.

• Participates in routine department safety and disaster policy training.

• Keeps vehicle clean and in a neat appearance both inside and out at all times.

• Provides safe transportation by obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations.

• Observes and report any changes in resident behavior to Transportation Supervisor.

• Delivers prescriptions to and from the nursing staff and Oak Park Pharmacy.

• Other duties as requested or assigned.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Orange City, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Commercial driving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Passenger Endorsement (Preferred)
• CDL (Preferred)
• CDL B (Preferred)
