Area Distributors, a division of Imperial Dade, leading national distributor, is hiring a talented Driver Assistant to join the Transportation department in Union City, CA!

Responsibilities:You will:
- As a Delivery Driver Assistant, you will deliver products or equipment to customers
- You will work as part of a two-person team to make deliveries
- Perform pre-trip inspections of paperwork and loaded product to ensure accuracy of order
- Load and unload truck with building materials to be delivered to customers
- Ride along with delivery drive to unload at site
- Comply with standards with regard to delivery and set-up of product
- Comply with delivery safety and security programs and activities
- Report and inspect physical conditions of vehicle fleets and equipment, maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary
- Assist delivery driver with the loading, and unloading of products up to 50lbs/23kg
You have:
- Lift gate experience a plus
- Electric Pallet Jack experience is a plus
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds comfortably and unassisted
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to handle physical workload
