Doggie Paradise in Wallington, NJ is now hiring a part-time Dog Daycare Attendant to work in our facility with the dogs. This individual will be responsible for the care & safety of daycare dogs in our care. Must be passionate about dogs & not afraid of handling large & small dogs on a daily basis. The right candidate will be reliable, conscientious, kind & passionate about the care & well-being of dogs. See below for job requirements and responsibilities. Experience working with dogs a plus, but not required. Ability to start right away. Candidates must be able to work 3-5 shifts per week depending on how busy we are. Shifts include: 7am - 12:00 pm, 2:00pm - 7pm. We are open 365 days per year.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- MUST love dogs!
- MUST be Comfortable cleaning up dog waste
- Comfortable playing with & handling dogs of all sizes and breeds
- Comfortable cleaning dog suites & multiple play yards.
- Able to lift 50lbs.
- High tolerance for loud noise (ie. Barking)
- At least 18 years old
- Be able to walk, stand and be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Reliable transportation to work
- Punctual
- Neat appearance
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safety of dogs and staff is 1st priority
- Oversee dog play in our indoor and outdoor play areas.
- Cleanup after dogs immediately
- Clean dog suites and play areas daily
- Bathing dogs and brushing out
- Feeding as per parent instructions.
- Playing/interacting/correcting with dogs in your play group
- Able to identify unwell or sick dogs
- Keep kennel and play yards neat and clean everyday
Starting salary is $14/hour. Time & a half on major holidays. Tips divided among staff Monthly.
