Ballard Spahr LLP, a national law firm with more than 600 lawyers in 15 offices across the United States has an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detailed-oriented Trademark Docketing Specialist. The selected individual will handle input to the docketing database, electronic profiling and saving of incoming mail and emails regarding trademark applications and registrations, preparation of regularly scheduled and custom reports, and other projects under the supervision of the IP Docketing Manager.
There is the potential to handle all aspects of daily docketing of trademarks, copyrights, and domain names to include the review of all trademark and other intellectual property related mail; creation of new trademark records; tracking of submission deadlines; and preparation of docket reports for attorneys and clients.
This position is full-time remote, (Monday – Friday) if located in Arizona, California, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, South Dakota or Utah with the expectation to work in the office, as needed.
Required Skills
The ideal candidate will be very detail oriented, have superior communication, organizational, computer and team work skills, and be able to multi-task. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and Interwoven FileSite or a comparable document management software; experience with docketing in CPI, WebTMS, or Anaqua preferred. Knowledge of the trademark registration process is essential.
Required Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of trademark docketing experience is required; Experience working with both U.S. and foreign trademark deadlines is preferred. The ability to work beyond standard hours and lift boxes is required to perform the essential functions of this position.
