GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB. The Divisional Director (DD) will play an integral role in the success of this Divisions’ fund development efforts, providing leadership in all major gift strategies and communication. The DD will bear the primary responsibility for managing major donor portfolios for fundraising. He or she will manage a high end portfolio of donors and prospects within a specified geographic area. In this role, the DD will identify, cultivate, solicit, steward, and upgrade major gift pipeline prospects and donors, acting as the primary contact between The Army and all major donors. The DD will collaborate with program and command staff in order to serve the complete needs of the Division’s fundraising.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Establishes and creates a strategic communications plan to identify, educate, cultivate and solicit gifts for all major donors each fiscal year.
  • Manages a portfolio of 125 major donors, following the prescribed communications plan that is specific to each donor.
  • Establishes and works to meet annual goals for each major donor and for the major gifts program each year.
  • Leads in all one-to-one solicitation, gift acknowledgement and stewardship communication, traveling as necessary.
  • Works in close conjunction with other fund development staff, ensuring collaboration between direct mail, foundation, corporate, and planned giving efforts.
  • Helps shape overall policies and strategies to continually increase major gifts revenue and program growth.
  • Provides assistance and leadership for written proposals for major donors.

This position is Full Time Exempt, some weekend and night work expected. Some travel within Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

Bachelor's Degree is Required.

A minimum of 3-5 years of fundraising experience is required.

Management of high level donor portfolio is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
