General Summary: This position will collaborate with accounting and production team members to establish procedures and ensure timely and accurate reporting of company transactions in accordance with GAAP. This position will establish and implement procedures to deliver and analyze routine key financial reports for management. This position reports to the Corporate Controller.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Establish, document, and maintain systems and internal controls that verify the integrity of all financial systems, processes, and data.
• Responsible for oversight and preparation of accurate and timely dissemination of divisional reports.
• Participate in and sometimes lead special projects and compile a variety of ad hoc reports.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
• Review and reconcile A/P, A/R, Payroll, and Fixed Assets for the companies in their division and ensure costs are properly reflected on the general ledger and per job.
• Reporting and analysis on a per job basis and verifying revenue recognition of each job of their division.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Responsible for meeting month-end and year-end closing deadlines for their division.
• Provides training, guidance, and direction to ensure work is performed in an efficient, timely, and knowledgeable manner.
• Prepare multiple state agency reports for tax purposes.
• Maintain good corporate relations with co-workers, customers, vendors, auditors, company(s) owner and other affiliates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
• Experience with month-end close, cost accounting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Knowledge of sales tax rules and regulations and tax experience is a plus
• Knowledge of Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate accounting software is a plus
