The Division Director of Residential Supports reports directly to the Vice President of Home Supports and is the overall administrative & operational director of assigned facility based residential programs. The Division Director is assigned to 3-7 program sites serving individuals with DD/ID and/or ABI. The Division Director is responsible for the program implementation in accordance with the organization’s fundamentals, strategic plan, priority initiatives, mission and values. Division Director is responsible for all day-to-day operations and management for assigned sites.

Division Director of Residential Supports Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the management of basic and intermediate care residential homes.
  • Supervise Residential Managers and work collaboratively with Nursing, Clinical, Quality, Facility, Finance, Day Programming and Human Resource teams to meet and exceed all needs of our individuals and employees.
  • Provide ongoing oversight to electronic medical records and web based program records.
  • Timely and accurate coding for services into electronic medical records system for billing purposes.
  • Manage and participate in a 24 hour/365 day On-Call system.
  • Manage ISP process for all individuals served.
  • Oversee all medication administration and compliance.
  • Performance to budget and annual budget development.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with all guardians, family members, individuals and funding sources.
  • Ensure a functional, healthy, and person centered environment at programs sites.
  • Recruit, retain, and evaluate qualified staff and complete Performance Maps.
  • Manage OQE compliance. Ensure Residential operational and service standard compliance with all federal, state, agency policies and licensing and certification requirements.
  • Provide input and assist in determining intake, transfer and discharge decisions regarding individuals utilizing programs/services.
  • Acts as primary leadership mentor and provides residential staff with necessary developmental training support.
  • Ensures mandatory training compliance for all staff.
  • Knowledge of PBS (Positive Behavioral Supports) and provides training, implementation and required documentation.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Division Director of Residential Supports Qualifications:

  • Master Degree in relevant field and a minimum of two years in a senior leadership position in Human Services.
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and a minimum of five years’ experience providing residential support services of which three must be in a multi program, supervisory role.
  • A valid Driver’s license and acceptable CORI/SORI/Fingerprinting results are required

Division Director of Residential Supports Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work 45-55 hours per week on average.
  • Ability to exert light to moderate physical effort which may involve lifting up to 25 pounds, pushing and/or pulling objects of similar weight.
