KIDS QUEST/CYBER QUEST DISTRICT MANAGER POSITION DESCRIPTION

Kids Quest/Cyber Quest Overall Purpose:

Kids Quest is the largest hourly child care provider and entertainment facility offering play, games and birthday parties at our partner resorts. Cyber Quest is a unique arcade that features famil-friendly games for people of all ages to enjoy together.

Our team at the corporate office is looking for a fun, energetic district manager to join our team in Plymouth, MN!

Minimum Criteria and Qualifications for a District Manager:

  • Possesses BS, BA, in Business Administration and/or Early Childhood Development
  • At least 3 years of experience in multi-center management or supervision
  • Support/ House from the Corporate Office located in Plymouth, Minnesota
  • Flexibility to travel at any time during the year, including weekends, holidays and to support leadership transitions where a timetable may not be fixed
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills and extensive leadership experience
  • Exhibits enthusiasm and strategic thinking that is adaptive to an entertainment/childcare environment
  • Experience with understanding and interpreting various regulatory standards and applying them to the business environment
  • Have experience with giving presentations, public speaking and relationship management
  • Must be able to review and understand fiscal, metric and business result summaries
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Power Points using Windows, and become skilled with proprietary company operations software programs

District Manager Core Role and Responsibilities

  • Directly oversee assigned group of Kids Quest/Cyber Quest centers
  • Using available resources to remotely support assigned centers with everyday operational needs
  • Frequently communicate with assigned centers reviewing their performance and provide feedback fostering success and growth
  • Routinely evaluate centers using remote surveillance programs verifying that company best practices are met
  • Each month evaluate center’s budget management, i.e. inventory, office supplies, play value equipment, staff development rewards, and any other that supports operational needs
  • Regularly conduct audits on business metrics, influence change and incorporate forward thinking strategies for broader business improvement. This includes the following areas: o Recruitment, retention, labor & schedule management, purchasing, inventory, financial performance, and safety programs
  • Provide clear communication to centers’ leadership team when any area of the business is at deficient performance levels

Center Visit/ Travel Responsibilities of a District Manager

  • Comply with company’s generally accepted travel policies regarding cost, spending and per diem
  • Provide training and development sessions to center teams while visiting a location
  • Ability to work and adapt to various operational responsibilities while in the center
  • Use time at centers to validate best practices, performance efforts and results
  • Dedicate appropriate amounts of time to each business brand during property visits
  • Meet, network and present to host property executives and leadership teams supporting the maintenance of our relationship
  • Complete verbal and written reports after center visits summarizing needs, action items and an overall property summary

Corporate Support Team Responsibilities

  • Prepare summaries and communicate district/ center business results to company leadership team during monthly, quarterly and annual review points
  • Attend, support or lead center operational meetings via video conferencing or tele-conference
  • Collaborate with the company’s Director of Staff Development to ensure employee development processes, service standards and other company procedures are being effectively communicated to center teams
  • Work with the company’s department leaders to support/communicate initiatives, results improvement and projects to and throughout center teams
  • Support and conduct company recruitment by participating in pre-screens, interviews, and overall hiring process
  • Support a new facility opening from budgeting to the grand opening of a center
  • Learn, support/manage and seek improvement of Kids Quest’s “Play Value” philosophy
  • Ability to objectively examine business reputation management opportunities, interface with guests over the phone and effectively follow up resolving with recovery opportunities
  • Accept and complete any assigned operations team projects and business updates supporting the company’s continuous improvement mission
  • Remain willing to learn and adapt to new technologies supporting the success of operations and productivity
  • This Role reports directly to the Vice Presidents of Operations
