Horry County Board of Education Seat Representing the Unexpired Term for District 4
The Horry County Board of Education (“Board”) seeks to fill a vacancy in its membership for the seat representing the unexpired term for District 4. The vacancy shall be filled by appointment of the Board until the 2024 General Election, at which time a member will be elected from District 4 for the new term which is from 2024 to 2028.Persons interested in being considered must:

Completed forms with four letters of reference must be received at the above address no later than 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. If submitting the form online, the deadline is no later than 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
Following receipt of the filing materials, the Board will meet to review the filing materials on February 20, 2023. The Board will interview the candidates, as the Board determines, on February 27, 2023. Following the interviews, the Board will elect by majority vote one person from the eligible candidates to fill the vacancy.
