We are looking for a detail-oriented dispatcher to dispatch our drivers to various customer locations in the Houston area. In this role, your duties will include communicating with our customers to record their fuel delivery needs placing orders, planning and adjusting routes accordingly. Another key part of the position is communicating and scheduling driver routes. We are a 24-Hour 7days a week operation

Dispatcher Responsibilities:

· Accurately taking customer fuel orders over the phone and via email; entering orders into software system in a timely manner.

· Efficient scheduling of fuel deliveries – includes regular communication with drivers, effective route planning and updating as needed.

· Communicating with customers about fuel delivery details and times, with attention to special handling requests, to ensure exceptional customer service.

· Preparing dispatch documents, confirming load documents after delivery for billing.

· Dispatch coverage during vacations, unplanned absences, etc.

· Other tasks and duties as needed for successful operation of the company.

Requirements:

· Available to work a 12-hour night schedule, including partial weekends.

· High school diploma or GED.

· 1 year experience with demonstrated success in fuel dispatch or related industry.

· Excellent verbal, written communication and customer service skills.

· Superior focus, initiative, and attention to detail.

· Problem-solving and basic mathematical skills.

· Must be able to work safely and efficiently unsupervised.

· Proficiency in MS Office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

· 2-3 years’ experience as a fuel dispatcher or in a similar industry.

· Bachelor's or associate degree in transportation or logistics would be advantageous.

· Experience with transportation software, such as Samsara and Creative Energies.

· Knowledge of DOT and Haz-mat regulations.

This is a flex position that will work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday,
or (on alternate weeks) Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. You must be able to work from 6 PM to 6 AM

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour, plus overtime
