The Dir - US Offshore Wind will support the growth and delivery of EDF Renewables US’ offshore wind portfolio, focusing on strategic development, strategic planning, partnerships and governance. In their role, the Dir - US Offshore Wind will contribute to shaping and successfully implementing the Company strategy, supporting the Company’s growth and solidifying its market share. This will include leading offtake strategy, forming and developing new partnerships (joint ventures), ensuring consistency across JVs, forging and maintaining strong links between all internal and external stakeholders, designing and implementing offshore policies and procedures, and shaping and executing governance rules in conjunction with Legal Counsel and Executive Management.
Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Support Executive Team in implementing winning development and commercial strategies (incl. new opportunities) according to goals and objectives aiming to accelerate Pacific US offshore wind growth
- Define and lead Offtake Strategy development and implementation across multiple markets, including identification of opportunities, bid preparation and management, and offtake compliance management
- Provide offtake compliance and strategy framework to project(s) delivery team(s) and ensure delivery complies with commitments and overall Company strategies, maintain and grow relationship with offtaker(s) as appropriate
- Conduct market research and setup effective competitive intelligence gathering that enables most optimal outcomes for any commercial opportunities (State RFPs or Corporate)
- Understand the requirements of future customers (State or Corporate) and build value propositions that enable market share growth
- Build partnerships with (potential) external business partners Planning and JV Operations
- Support new partnerships (JV(s)) negotiations and contribute to JV agreements
- Lead new JV(s) implementation, including:
- Develop JV business plans and budgets, goals, critical success factors and key performance indicators, staffing plans, schedules, etc.
- Identify, recommend and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes within the governance structure under JV agreements
- Develop reporting functions and tools supporting JV management and decision making
- Staffing JV and supporting offshore wind talent pool growth in collaboration with HR department, including onboarding, training and allocation to opportunities
- Collaborate with Executive Team to establish annual, quarterly, and monthly strategic priorities and facilitate workflows advancing them
- Review and approve project(s) and JV(s) monthly and quarterly reports, cost-control reports, cost estimates and staffing requirements for the portfolio of projects
- Ensure alignment between Company goals and offshore wind strategy vs delivery across multiple opportunities
Governance
- Collaborate with Legal Counsel on defining and implement JV governance best practices, shaping policies and procedures and generally facilitating adoption of governance requirements within the Company and JV(s)
- Streamline governance requirements, policies and procedures across Company JVs
- Participate in JV governance, such as Advisory Committees, Resourcing Committees, Financing Committees or, as needed, Board meetings
- Prepare, secure, and track EDF Renewables internal approvals supporting EDF Renewables US’ offshore wind portfolio, including coordination of peer reviews and other types of assurance

Education/Experience -
- Bachelor’s degree in with a major in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science, Architecture, or Construction Science is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams that interface frequently with executive management.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with Project engineering / Management or Contract Management within the Wind and/or Offshore Industry.
- Deep experience in strategic development and strategic reporting to Top Management including bid management is required
- Expert knowledge of project controls and project management requirements is preferred, including planning, scheduling, resourcing, budgeting, cost control, cost estimation, risk management and information management
- Outstanding interpersonal oral and written communication and presentation skills required
- Proven experience working with marquee clients
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple prime and subcontractor relationships simultaneously
- Highly motivated, self-starter, ability to work well with others and be a good team player
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple people from all types of fields of expertise
- Advanced knowledge of Office 365; MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint
- Requires knowledge of, and direct first-hand experience in, offshore wind project development in the United States
Pay Range: $144,525.00 - $240,845.00

Working Conditions: (Remote/Hybrid)
70% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 30% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in addition to attending various conferences and meetings. During project construction, presence on site will be required.
