As a Director on the education team, you'll manage a team of content editors responsible for helping to create progressive, multi-platform learning experiences, specifically auditing, creating, and maintaining educational content that helps customers make informed decisions related to saving, spending, investing, and trading.

By leveraging your content, user, and business experience, you’ll help to drive innovation and deliver best-in-class customer engagement education to instill confidence in our clients and attract prospective clients.

The Expertise You Have

  • 8+ years of experience in content strategy with a focus on learning/education, high attention to detail and ability to balance multiple workstreams at once

  • 3+ years managing and developing a team of writers and strategists

  • Experience collaborating with senior level leaders toward successful business outcomes

  • Experience building and leading teams with successful outcomes

  • Proven track record of defining, testing, iterating on, and delivering best in class education

  • Validated dedication to cross-functional collaboration in a client-centric, fast-paced environment

  • A proven track record of projects that achieve tangible results

  • Experience working with cross-functional, agile teams preferred

  • Experience in financial services strongly preferred

  • Experience creating content for an under-36 audience a plus

  • Comfortable defending your content decisions with executives and legal, and can negotiate edits with diplomacy and an open mind

  • Willing to jump into different roles, outside of your job description, and have an eye to the future of digital content design

  • Ability to use data and analytics to find opportunities for improving the customer experience

  • Ability to build credibility and trust with peers and executives, and enjoy working in a complex organization with multiple decision-makers

The Value You Deliver

  • Consulting, visioning, and developing the education strategy for scalable learning curriculums that can be leveraged across different products

  • Collaborating with partners across the enterprise to build out a best-in-class, inclusive customer education strategy and multi-channel learning journey

  • Designing and developing education to support strategic initiatives across a diverse range of topics and deliverables, including just-in-time learning, webinars, podcasts, videos, visual, and interactive formats

  • Using instructional design principles to develop effective learning solutions

  • Audit of existing educational content across all digital channels to identify redundancies and find opportunities for simplification

  • Content development for a variety of formats, including articles, videos, and infographics across digital experiences

  • Integrating educational content across Fidelity.com.

  • Collaborating with designers, researchers, developers, and other partners to write and test user-focused education that answers key questions, while maintaining Fidelity’s tone and voice

  • Influencing a test, learn, and optimize approach to content development where you’ll make informed decisions on the topics, tone, language, and delivery of educational content

  • Developing and evolving ideas via ongoing dialogue with partners and senior leaders that brings together client needs, emerging technology, financial trends, and Fidelity’s enterprise goals

  • Working across teams to deliver a cohesive customer experience across products and channels
