The Director, Strategic Sourcing is responsible for all sourcing activities across all Wyndham Enterprise IT groups. This role will work closely with various stakeholders to identify the appropriate provider(s) for products and services required to fulfill technology initiatives, and work with key technology suppliers to negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and performance commitments in order to meet stakeholder requirements

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Negotiate multimillion dollar multiyear enterprise-wide agreements for technology products

• Working collaboratively with WVO & RCI business stakeholders and other team members identify & implement cost and process improvements

• Work collaboratively with IT legal & IT Contract Admins to ensure agreements are executed within established timeframes

• Establish new sources, research potential new vendor relationships, and manage existing vendor relationships.

• Partner with finance on annual Budget activity and work closely on initiatives like cost containment and consolidation

• Be accountable to the Cost savings goal and consistently meet them on an annual basis

• Represent Wyndham Destinations at all technology sourcing related forums, trade shows & Minority events

Travel Requirements

• 2 - 4 domestic trips per year to visit internal clients or for conferences or meetings; for training purposes. Trips typically 1- 3 days in duration.

• 2 - 4 local (Orlando metro area) day trips to participate in conferences, training, vendor-sponsored events, etc.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

Education

• BA/BS

Training requirements

• Strong PC Skills (MS Office)

Knowledge and skills

• Ability to multi-task

• Ability to work under pressure

• Excellent written and oral communications skills

• Positive attitude

• Comfortable with contracting/legal terms and conditions, standard applications and usage.

Technical Skills

• Must have extensive software licensing expertise with major publishers (Microsoft, Oracle, Symantec, etc.)

• Strong familiarity with data center level hardware and major providers

• Outsourcing/out tasking/BPO

• Solid knowledge of networking and telecom (providers, products, best practices for managing spend, and contractual terms).

Job experience

• 8 - 10 years + IT Sourcing experience

• 3 - 5 years non-IT Sourcing experience

• 5 - 10 management experience (Manager or Director level at smaller enterprise) including direct staff management experience

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
