Director Security Operations

Windwalker Group, LLC is a growing multi-sector business with an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the Protection & Preparedness Business. The Practice Lead will manage this business unit and lead it to success based on current and future contracts, with expectations for managing the growth that Windwalker is experiencing. This position will personally oversee day-to-day operations, quality, and success throughout the metro-Boston area.

Job Summary*:

*
Lead a team comprised of over 200 security and concierge service providers to success, with overall ownership of the business unit profitability.

• Oversee new business contracts and client relationship management.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for all Business Development activities in Protection & Preparedness and be familiar with RFP and RFQ and all contract proposal processes components.
• Oversee the management of work according to specific contract Performance Work Statements (PWSs) or Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Manage Consulting Services, including developing and submitting consultative reports for matters such as Enterprise Risk Assessments, Continuity of Operations Plans, Building Assessments, Security Design and Emergency Planning.
• Facilitate emergency response exercises (live/tabletop) and respond to client’s real-time emergencies, i.e., severe weather occurrences, accidents.

Required Qualifications:*

Bachelor’s degree in Security, Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Proven success leading others, with the demonstrated ability to support and motivate a 24/7/365 operation.
• Business Unit Management or experience with P&L ownership.
• Direct experience successfully developing business strategies leading to company, revenue, and profit growth.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
• Experience developing a metrics driven organization.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with FEMA – NIMS, COOP, and Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience.
• Covid-19 vaccination required.

Preferred Qualifications:*

Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Disaster Management, Public Administration, Information Systems.

• ASIS CPP certification.
• Familiarity with FEMA National Response Framework and VTTX.
• Working knowledge of ERM.
