Position Summary:

In this position you will be the primary contact and have global responsibility for all insurance related matters within Jet Aviation. You will support the organization in all risk and insurance related matters and work closely together with the General Dynamics risk management team on the risks covered under GD global insurance programs.

Main Responsibilities:

Work closely and engage pro-actively with the GD Risk Management team on GD controlled programs (e.g. Property, Non-Aviation Liability, Marine, Cyber or Financial Lines)

Lead, supervise and/or support the renewal of existing Aviation General Liability, Global Managed Aircraft Fleet insurances and other specific Jet Aviation’s programs in conjunction with our insurer brokers

Represent Jet Aviation towards the insurance industry

Prepare, review and present underwriting information and the company’s operational risk to global insurance markets (including the US and UK market)

Continuously monitor the insurance market, detect market changes, and keep our management informed about new trends

Develop and monitor relationship with brokers and insurers

Act as the in-house broker for Swiss insurance placements such as employees benefits, international health insurance program or pension reinsurance

Work closely with GD Risk Management, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure that our risk strategy and guidelines are aligned and executed effectively according to our delegation of authority

Review and set-up of insurance requirements for subcontractors and vendors on a global scale

Develop, review, and implement liability, indemnity, and insurance clauses. Perform risk assessments on larger projects from an insurance risk standpoint

Handle large or complex insurance losses. Negotiate favorable claims settlements directly with insurance companies, customers, third parties and their legal representatives. Issue settlement recommendations to our management

Support the M&A team in the due diligence process by performing risk assessments and reviewing the insurance portfolio

Review SPA/APA agreements and the need tail/run-off coverage

Coordinate the integration of new entities in the global insurance programs post acquisition

Lead, develop and mentor your team member

Inform, train, and advise internal stakeholders on insurance related matters

Minimum Qualifications:

At least 10 years experience with Global Insurance programs gained as a Risk or Insurance professional with a global company, broker or insurer, backed-up by the appropriate degree(s)

Proven track-record in handling and settling large insurance claims

Solid understanding of Aircraft & Aviation Liability Insurance

Knowledge of the aerospace industry, OEMs, and the regulatory framework

Experience in working in a international environment

Excellent written and spoken English, good understanding of French and German would be an asset

Results driven – able to execute with high personal accountability

High business acumen and strong influencing skills
