Provide sales development and support new and existing sales for all integrated fulfilment, omni channel and transload solutions spanning existing and new facilities within North America. Responsibilities include the identification, value proposition and sales of all fulfilment solutions, offering an integrated approach in synergy with the related account teams.

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC handles end-to-end warehousing and distribution logistics needs utilizing our strategic network of storage facilities. Key responsibilities

  • Build in-depth understanding of Performance Team (PT) Fulfilment and Omni Channel products / service offerings. Execute the organization’s sales strategy & associated business plan. Proactively sell PT’s compelling, sustainable, mutually- beneficial integrated service offerings consistent with PT strategies.
  • Ensure sales targets and objectives for all Contract Logistics products are achieved.
  • Direct and control preparations to determine pursuit approach, client proposals, solution structure and sales tactics to achieve WnD sales goals
  • Identify specific accounts and opportunities as targets. Provides sales plan to convert new business growth.
  • Critically evaluate business propositions and recommend short- and long-term strategies/in addition, highlight deficiencies or impediments to business development
  • Plan, organize and build the sales pipeline and support team competencies necessary to sell, develop, and deliver full solution offerings.
  • Negotiate with customer and stakeholders to ensure completion of a final contract
  • Seek out, target and initiate contact with major prospective customers within assigned markets. Develop network of contacts, qualify, and assess targeted accounts with inputs from Maersk Commercial Teams.
  • Monitor Outstanding Proposals and adherence to agreed contractual credit terms
  • Build influential partnering relationships; establish multi-level contact points with key clients.
  • Collaborate and build good working partnership with Operations, Finance and Facility management teams. Fully understand customer’s goals, objectives, and business needs. Target information and solutions based on customer’s requirements; recommend solutions that serve the customer’s business objective and ensure differentiation of PT from competitors.
  • Deliver budgets Gross Profit target and help achieve high utilization of PT assets (facilities and trucking)
  • Develop and manage strategically important relationships that further business development activity. Work closely with Marketing to monitor and analyze market trends and competitive issues.
  • Monitor and share market feedback with PT leadership. Identify performance and/or product gaps and address with PT leadership.
  • Participate in joint customer visits with Maersk Commercial Owners.
  • Analyze and interpret data and develop clear and informative methods to present operational information, for all Fulfilment projects and focused engineering to execute on startup operations.
  • Effectively represent PT in interactions with external stakeholders, including customers and professional associations and represent department in internal meetings, when required
  • Ensure compliance with PT and Maersk values and federal, state and local laws & regulations
  • Performs other position related duties as specified by management

We are looking for

Education and Experience:

  • BA / BS
  • Master’s degree preferred and or higher degree of education
  • 5 years plus of industry experience, preferably in Fulfillment and Contract Logistics with at least 10 plus years of sales management experience


Technical Skills and Competencies Required:

  • Strong understanding of Warehousing and Fulfillment and in particular, pick and pack operations and E-commerce solutions design
  • An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards.
  • A strategic visionary with strong Fulfilment, Omni Channel and E-commerce technical skills along with analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus including an understanding of warehouse management systems.
  • Excellent consultative / solution Selling Skills; ability to identify customer needs and translate into customer solutions
  • Excellent communication skills: can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses.
  • Proven record of customer management and ability to develop relationships
  • Ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility, manage resources effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to train, coach, evaluate and mentor
  • Excellent conflict resolution, negotiation and problem-solving skills, strong cultural awareness.
  • A well organized and self-directed individual who is "politically savvy" and a team player.
  • Result oriented – Drives for results and success, conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure, persists despite obstacles and opposition

Pay Range:

  • $135,000 - $165,000*
  • The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
