Director of Residential Supports

PURPOSE
This role is responsible for the overall management, development, and supervision of Cedar Lake Residences 24-hr residential programs. This role functions as a member of the Cedar Lake team and may provide supplementary assistance to any individual served by the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for the oversight of residential programs including financial management, purchasing, physical maintenance, services and supports for individual residents. Maintains availability by cell phone.
2. Responsible for the process of recruitment, employment, training, supervision and, when appropriate, the dismissal of the personnel of Cedar Lake Residences residential services. Directs, supervises, guides and supports the Assistant Directors of Residential Options who perform these duties.
3. Maintain a working knowledge of, and be responsible for, ensuring regulatory compliance with the Supports for Community Living Waiver and group home licensure requirements. Works collaboratively with the Compliance Manager or the Director of Health Supports and Assistant Directors regarding regulatory documentation.
4. Monitors the development of individual Person Center Support Plans. Encourages implementation of goals with the objective of increasing self-reliance and independence. Monitors required documentation to ensure progress and concerns are reflected
5. In concert with the Executive Director, and working with the Services Committee, is responsible for resident selection.
6. As may be designated by the Executive Director, represents the agency and its objectives through contact with various public and private, state and local agencies. Promotes and maintains working relationships with outside agency administrators, governmental officials and other such personnel.
7. Set clear departmental goals to monitor the success and opportunities for residential options. Establish baseline performance measures for ongoing tracking.
8. Work alongside internal resources to identify areas of efficiency.
9. Initiate contact with resident families/guardians as appropriate.
10. Perform all other related work as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services preferred, experience may substitute
A minimum of one year experience in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or similar experience in human services. Knowledge of licensing and certification processes. Supervisory experience is desired.
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time, 40 hours or more per week. May include occasional evening/weekend work to meet resident/family needs and respond to facility needs.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS
Exempt, salaried, full-time. The Director of Residential Supports is administratively responsible to the Executive Director.
