Reporting to the VP of Finance and Transformation, Americas, the Director of Finance, Controller (DFC) is responsible for all accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, program finance and accounting, internal and external audits, supplying information to our external tax department and sales and use tax vendor, financial control systems, monthly reporting and working with Division to ensure consistency in Finance. As a member of the finance leadership team, you will contribute to the wider discussion, strategy and execution of our company's agenda and ambition with an entrepreneurial lens and help to drive the company's financial strategy, growth and profitability. This role is more than an accounting and finance role as this role is a leader and advisor in the business.
The DFC supports the VP of Finance and Transformation and leads day-to-day accounting and financial services operations and manages 4 direct reports and a team of 25.
Duties & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accounting Department - Responsibilities include application of the divisional accounting policies and procedures, accurate and timely recording of all transactional accounting, setting accounting policies and procedures, monthly, half-year and year end close, maintain accounting system, IFRS compliance, ensuring SAP system accuracy, account reconciliation including reviews and sign off, and financial consolidation for reporting
- Financial Statement Reporting - Responsibilities include accurate and timely production of monthly, half year and year- end financial statements, loading of financial system from SAP data, ensuring financial statements are accurate and balanced, review and analysis of financial statements, presenting monthly financial information to the VP of Finance and Transformation
- Taxation - Responsibilities include maintaining relationships and supplying all data to the tax department and the external sales and use tax vendor
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable - Responsibilities include oversight of the Financial Services department to ensure that Accounts Payable is running as efficiently as possible and that there is a strong control environment in place to safeguard the company's assets in this area as well as ensuring that the team is collecting all receivables on time and working on ways to make the department more efficient in collecting and reducing time to cash
- Invoicing - Responsibilities include over site of the billing department to ensure that the department is working as accurately and efficiently as possible
- Auditing and Controls - Responsibilities include managing the relationship with our external and internal auditors, successfully planning and leading the half year, early warnings and year end external financial audit and annual internal audit, submitting the annual internal audit questionnaire, numerous other audits and requests, maintaining an adequate internal control system to provide protection of the company's assets and to ensure proper recording of information, maintaining a minimum controls structure and framework and setting and enforcing policies and procedures around auditing and controls
- Supporting and dealing directly with the Division in achieving process and job role consistency across the business, including leading system enhancements and related SAP implementations from a finance perspective
- Recruiting and maintaining staffing for the Controllers Group,
- Responsibility for leading divisional finance initiatives within the Americas
- Being an administrator on all bank accounts with responsibility of maintaining the banking relationships
