About the Job
The purpose of this position is to drive Retail sector pipeline growth and revenue by creating opportunities with decision makers so that they come to understand the value of SGS & Co solutions. This is done by connecting with Director-level, VP-level, and C-level, executives and jump-start their journey through the SGS & Co sales process.
Your impact and contribution
- Participate in the strategic development of a new incoming sales pipeline
- Ability to lead and apply insights to RFPs, new business needs and new client lead meetings
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Development to complete market/industry research using multiple data channels
- Drive content development and messaging for new sales leads, partnering with Marketing team
- Participate in Business Development team meetings to discuss sales/marketing strategy
- Maintain a growing prospect pipeline by leveraging existing relationships and developed leads from our outbound cold calling initiative.
- Constantly strive for self-improvement and possess the curiosity to stay abreast of industry and market trends
- Become an expert on SGS & Co.'s product offerings and services.
- Play a leadership role in elevating SGS visibility in the market (includes LinkedIn, attending in-person and virtual events, etc.)
Success in the Role
Success in this role is achieved by consistently demonstrating an active pipeline with Retail opportunities and revenue growth. Uphold the SGS & Co standard of excellence, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions to ensure the business moves forward resulting in wins for new Retail business and/or business for the broader collective.
Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements
- Experience in a high-volume Sales role (i.e. cold calls, emails, etc.)
- Business Development/Sales in Premedia and/or Digital Printing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- 10+ years of experience in Retail Business Development or similar position
Competency Requirements
- Proven history of strong work ethic in the Retail sector
- Strong written and oral communication in English
- Positive attitude, team player, outgoing, ability to think outside the box
- Highly organized mindset.
- A positive, self-driven, “no excuses” attitude.
Travel Requirements
Travel is required on as needed basis.
