About The Job
The Director of Business Development will play an instrumental role in building our pipeline, creating and executing on strategic plans to achieve sales targets across our markets. In this role, you'll be responsible for a combination of inside and outside sales. This person will be responsible for sourcing new sales opportunities through both inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails. In addition, in person outreach to target practices in our markets may be appropriate to meet sales targets. As part of a lean startup team, we're looking for individuals who are self-starters, scrappy, can manage ambiguity, and ready to grow within a hyper-growth organization.
What You'll Do:
- Heavy focus on outbound cold calls/emails to a prioritized list of prospects.
- Build strong top of funnel, booking initial meetings on a regular cadence.
- Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
- Track, manage, maintain a clear record of all pipeline activities in HubSpot, including critical prospect information, meeting notes, actionable next steps, etc.
- Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and deal closure.
- Book initial pitch meetings and achieve quarterly quotas.
- Schedule and perform initial sales pitch to potential customers, as appropriate to gain traction.
- Attend industry trade shows to network, identify potential sales leads and make meaningful contact with existing customers.
- Lead and drive broader corporate development initiatives.
- Run bi-weekly pipeline meetings with clear, tactical action plans.
What You'll Need:
- 6-8 years of sales experience, with a focus on cold outreach to physician practices (phone and in-person).
- Proficiency with CRM tools, tracking and managing a pipeline, preferably on HubSpot.
- Ability to create measurable objectives/quotas and set expectations, manage and provide feedback.
- Demonstrated knowledge and successful application of consultative selling skills.
- Experience developing sales presentations.
- Excellent communication skills, preferably with a physician-level audience.
- Excellent customer service attitude.
- Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and overcome any obstacles.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for onsite visits, some domestic travel for trade shows and conferences.

You will work out of one of the following locations:
The role is remote but there is a strong preference for candidates who live and reside in one of the following states: Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia, Texas, Florida, Georgia
Additional Information:
Full-time base salary range of $140,000 - $150,000 plus a competitive equity & benefits package.
