Job Description
Serving in a non-coaching role, assumes responsibility for the coordination of team travel, scheduling, public relations efforts, budget preparation and oversight, coordination of the film exchange program and game day preparation. Assumes responsibility for adherence to rules and regulations governing University, conferences, and the NCAA, including assisting in the education process extended to alumni and the community. Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students.

Description of Key Responsibility: Assumes responsibility for extensive travel planning by weighing all travel vendor pricing options ensuring that the best price is secured and that team needs are met while on the road. Exercises independent discretion in the execution of team travel, development of itineraries, per diems, scheduling meals, rooming lists, practice and shoot around times as well as any other activities in which the team participates during a road trip. Shops flights, hotels, and buses through university suggested travel agencies and others to obtain most efficient pricing.
Description of Key Responsibility: Plays an active role in external relations efforts, including but not limited to, community outreach and speaking engagements. Coordinates alumni and booster relations, including fundraising and serving as a team liaison to the booster organization. Coordination, planning, and execution of annual Tip-Off dinner team fundraiser.
Description of Key Responsibility: Assists in student-athlete academic enhancement initiatives. Promotes the academic progress of student-athletes. Serves as an assistant liaison between the Basketball office and the Athletics Compliance Office as well as the Athletics Academic Advisors.
Description of Key Responsibility: Prepares and edits game film. Prepares, maintains and utilizes student-athlete statistics on practice and game workouts on a weekly basis in an effort to improve both overall team performance and individual performance. Coordinates the film exchange program.
Description of Key Responsibility: Oversees the coordination of both home and away practice schedules as well as coordinating student-athlete academic schedules. Oversees scheduling of team meetings, calls, and appointments. Manages updated calendar for team and head coach. Coordinates and facilitates on-campus recruiting for official and unofficial visits as necessary and appropriate making certain that all NCAA rules are followed.
Description of Key Responsibility: Takes a lead role in the preparation and oversight of NCAA Compliance approved budgetary and operational procedures in an effort to ensure prudent fiscal management. Monitors the processing of expense forms, reimbursements and travel expense vouchers as mandated by conference, departmental and/or University policy. Keeps up to date on filing of receipts for P-Card purchases of the coaching staff.
Description of Key Responsibility: Serves as the liaison with the Sports Information Department to coordinate all media request, including scheduling interviews, enhancing social media, participate in promoting the program through social media and assist with monitoring student-athlete social media platforms
Description of Key Responsibility: Provides game day support by player ticket request forms. Managing assigned graduate and undergraduate support staff. Oversight of team locker room, ensuring that organization, cleanliness, and nutritional needs are met.
Description of Key Responsibility: Monitors and orders equipment and supplies, including but not limited to, team practice, game and travel equipment, uniforms, gear and staff equipment.
Description of Key Responsibility: Assists in the marketing, safety, and administration of tournaments. Meet and coordinate with the marketing and promotions department to plan and implement strategies to assist the athletic department in increased ticket sales, creating a fan friendly environment and student engagement.
Description of Key Responsibility: Assists with the planning and implementation of camps, clinics and other professional enrichment programs to assure professional development.
Description of Key Responsibility: Assists with special projects including, but not limited to, coordinating player housing, monitoring team managers, building a fan base and banquets. Establishes a relationship with student-athletes and serve as the liaison between student-athletes, administrators and parents.
Description of Key Responsibility: Serves as the liaison for Strength and Conditioning efforts of the student athletes as well as the Athletic Training Department to help facilitate athletic training services, doctors appointments and any other student-athlete welfare needs in this area.
Description of Key Responsibility: Assists the Head Coach in assuring that all staff and student-athletes annually complete the mandatory sexual violence prevention program as required by the state and Connecticut and/or University policies and procedures.
