Position Overview:
Reporting to the Dean for the School of Environmental Business and Sustainable Ventures, The Director of Auxiliary Revenues: Unity (DAR) is responsible for maximizing revenue generation opportunities of College-owned facilities in Unity, Maine. The DAR will launch a new venture within the School of Sustainable Business and Sustainable Ventures Strategic Education Business Unit (SEBU), managing a portfolio of services including property rentals, conference and event services, and dining and catering. The DAR is accountable for the new ventures revenue expectations and provides strategic direction, administration, partnership development, marketing, supervision, budget management, and operational execution for the portfolio. This client-facing position will develop and promote the College-owned facilities and dining services in Unity to companies and organizations that seek a central address, synonymous with quality and service, at highly competitive rates, emphasizing sustainability as a competitive advantage. The position utilizes or creates systems and data that power a seamless customer experience.

Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Five years progressively responsible, professional experience related to area of assignment, including two years of lead or supervisory experience.
- The ability to work with diverse academic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds of college students and staff.
- Solve problems and defuse conflict situations.
- Remain calm under high pressure/difficult situations.
- Foster cooperative work environment.
- Use independent judgment to manage and impart information to a range of clientele and/or media sources.
- Maintain accurate and detailed financial and personnel records.
- Meet project deadlines and manage multiple tasks with continual interruptions.
- Ability to achieve and/or exceed financial management goals.
Work Schedule / Availability Requirements
Work hours are specific to the requirements of this position and can include days, evenings, and weekends. Working extended hours required as needed. Must be flexible and cooperative in fulfilling responsibilities and meeting the Colleges needs. Although Unity College employees are generally scheduled to work at their specifically assigned locations, there are times when travel is necessary and employees are required from time to time to attend events, meetings or work temporary assignment at any Unity College location.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand or walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of either hand for repetitive movements such as grasping, grasping and turning, and fine manipulation is required as is the ability to use the telephone for internal and external communications.
