Description:
The Director Indirect Sales will oversee and develop a diverse group of agents, dealers, resellers, and channel partners to reach their full potential in the market space.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a sales management process that delivers accurate monthly forecast working in partnership with marketing, finance, and supply chain representatives
- Through deep experience have the capability to drive forward a diverse set of partners in a multitude of markets through effective leadership, support, training, and incentives
- Build an overall strategic framework to support the efficient and effective management of partner business managers for delivery of commitments in the field
- Build effective working relationships at a senior level within key partners to build trust and engagement to be a trusted consultant to partners to influence their decisions and strategies
- Consistently meet or exceed customer’s expectations in all products, services, and maintenance to further drive deeper relationships with key accounts as well as new customers in emerging markets
- Lead the regional channel management teams by planning, organizing, motivating, coaching, and managing channel sales efforts
- Create and execute enterprise indirect channel strategies
- Drive virtual and in person events to drive partner engagements
- Coach, train and support existing and expanded indirect sales team
- Provide timely, detailed, and accurate reporting to internal and external audiences (i.e. forecasts, prospects, funnels, schedules, expense reports, etc.)
- Assist in the development of channel partner sales materials and programs to drive partner effectiveness
- Organize product trainings to develop partner sales competencies
- Attend key partner, customer, and prospect meetings to drive mindshare, sales, and revenue
- Champion partner needs across internal departments
- 10 years of executive leadership experience with indirect sales, for a large, world-class corporation
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; advanced degree preferred
- Demonstrated experience in executing strategic indirect sales plans
- Previous success building a high-performing indirect sales organization resulting in significant revenue growth
- Strong results-oriented leadership presence, someone who can set clear goals, motivate, train, enthusiastically engage others and drive accountability
- Ability to learn needs of both on-site and remote employees while driving team performance, monitoring results, and appropriately allocating resources
- Experience with and knowledge of functional sales tools and infrastructure
- Previous experience effectively managing indirect sales processes, procedures, and metrics; overseeing KPI adherence, sales planning, and operational activities
