Overview:
The Director of IT Field Services role is to architect, design and plan, implement, organize, and manage staff and overall operations support to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure in the Organization and Field. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, storage infrastructure, network firewall and routing, data communications and telecommunications systems, and audio video technologies. This position will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The scope includes ensuring immediate system availability, stability, reliability and scalability. Disaster recovery and business continuity are key responsibilities of this position. Field Services includes areas of Hotel, Cafes and Casinos requiring IT technology.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and vision for the IT Fields Services team
- Investigates and identify technology trends, solutions, standards and best practices
- Provide the leadership and direction needed to develop and maintain a high performance team environment that fosters innovation
- Serve as point of escalation review and approval for key issues significant projects and decisions related to network and infrastructure architecture
- Participate in IT governance process
- Leads design to inspire continuous improvement in the technological efforts for the organization
- Plan IT infrastructure projects
- Manage the execution and implementation of the approved enterprise IT infrastructure projects
- Identify and forge partnerships with strategic technology manufacturers, vendors, and integrators to implement and support the IT infrastructure
- Identify, collaborate and foster strong relationships with IT team members to ensure success towards the execution and support of the IT vision
- Provide IT infrastructure metrics regarding performance, utilization and compliance
- Evaluate, recommend and implement a business continuity and disaster recovery strategy
- Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and project management.
- Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures.
- Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.
- Test server performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure.
- Establish service level agreements with business units.
- Manage and administrate entire telecommunications infrastructure and its associated software, including PBXs, and audio/video conferencing systems.
- Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.
- Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent training and experience is required.
- At least 12 years’ equivalent work experience in a relative position and capacity.
- Project management skills a definite asset.
- Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Technical Requirements:
- Casino gaming and/or hospitality background or experience preferred

- Strong management and leadership skills including coaching consensus building and ability to effectively manage resources to address competing priorities
- Strong strategic planning capabilities (approaches and processes tools deliverables) as well as experience with architecture frameworks.
- Previous experience with gaming related technologies, standards, and processes is preferred.
