Oversees the quality of educational services related to LIFT Together. Directs development and delivery of high-quality services of Boys Town’s proprietary knowledge and materials to outside consumers. Develops new products, curricula, services, and applications and assists with implementing strategic marketing plans to develop new business opportunities as part of an overall growth strategy.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Oversees the quality of educational services related to LIFT Together. Directs departmental operations and staff; develops new products, services, business opportunities, and applications of products for division.
  • Develops and implements strategic plans; creates annual plans, budgets, reports, and evaluates strategies.
  • Hires, manages, and evaluates staff; oversees performance management system, monitors, develops, and coaches direct reports, and reviews performance per department guidelines.
  • Identifies and brings key players and concerned parties together to make decisions and resolve issues.
  • Facilitates learning and professional development by transferring skills, providing opportunities, coaching, and encouraging others to take risks and try new things.
  • Serves as a program expert in developing new manuals, training, and other new products and services.
  • Serves as expert in investigating and/or implementing better methods of delivery of services.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership in order to research and make recommendations for strategic marketing plans for developing business.
  • Supervises the School Support Specialist and trains schools and staff in the Boys Town education model.
  • Builds relationships with key school and community personnel in order to increase funding, awareness, and business opportunities.
  • Develops action plans based on routine data and trends and monitors action plan through progress reports making adjustments to services and products as needed. Submits reports to senior leadership on progress against goals.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge and skills in training methods and techniques.
  • Knowledge of educational jargon, systems, and legislation.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources in a non-profit organization. Knowledge of organizational strategies and ability to apply those strategies in practice.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization and with external contacts in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to translate complex data into understandable conclusions and recommendations.
  • Ability to successfully lead a team of associates.
  • Strong knowledge of the Boys Town Model.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Social Services/Education field or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience including training and supervisory required.
  • Available to travel required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Education, or Social Work or related field is preferred.
  • Experience with the Boys Town Education Model preferred.
