Position Summary
This position leads a team that drives all consumer strategy & insights across the iconic Modelo, Pacifico and Victoria Brand Families. The Director of Consumer Insights is responsible for setting the consumer strategy, applying the methodologies and insights that will best address the complex business challenges, and providing holistic business leadership to propel continued portfolio growth. This individual will oversee a team of consumer insights professionals and will work closely with key cross functional partners to discover consumer opportunities for growth. We are looking for a STRATEGIC PARTNER, THOUGHT LEADER, & CULTURE LOVER to help continue the growth on beer. This person will be a proven people leader with a keen ability to develop talent. The role reports to the VP, Consumer Strategy & Insights for the Beer Division.
Responsibilities
- Think, act, and train the team to act with a broader business lens, delivering actionable consumer insights to inspire brand growth
- Proactively identify consumer strategy that addresses the highest impact opportunities and complex challenges facing the Modelo, Pacifico and Victoria brand families
- Oversee creation of learning plans and multi-faceted custom research projects, ensuring each project is grounded in sound methodologies and that all insights are shared with the What, So What and Now What implications
- Champions enterprise-wide mindset and leads portfolio level initiatives that lay strategic foundation for Constellation’s beer division
- Champions a consumer first mindset, Voice of the Consumer, with cross functional partners. Ensures the communication, programs, portfolio and new products are grounded in insights that propel business growth.
- Leads efforts to bring a holistic story to drive change. Connect the dots across consumer, shopper and analytic projects to provide the highest impact.
- Leads team of insights professionals ensuring their work is consistent, sound and adding value to the organization. Manage their personal and functional development to meet future demands of the Consumer Strategy & Insights team. Hold them accountable to their goals.
- Work closely with the Growth and Marketing Leadership teams on consumer obsessed strategic projects that will inspire and provoke the organization to action.
Minimum Qualifications
- A proven and experienced people leader/mentor with ability to coach and develop talent (must have extensive experience managing others)
- A proven visionary and change agent who will drive evolution of the marketing research function into a modern, consumer insights department
- Ability to influence across all levels of the organization
- A bachelor’s degree in relevant field (marketing/business, psychology, sociology)
- 12+ years of consumer insights experience with iconic brands (must have client-side experience)
- Holistic business leader – drives influence far beyond research results
- Demonstrates a passion for understanding the consumer and their motivations in the beverage alcohol business
- Excellent communication skills; very articulate, strong public speaking and writing skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong cross functional skills
- Strong team player with truly collaborative approach
- Ability to deliver results through others (internally and externally)
- Excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize, and successfully manage projects
- Big picture thinker who can identify unobvious opportunities
- Willingness to travel 10% of work time.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree
- Fluent in Spanish

Insights & InnovationThe salary range for this role is:
$143,400.00 - $233,900.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
