The Director, Business Development, Technology Business Consulting (Internally known as Technology Business Consulting Services Sales Director) will have responsibility for developing and managing sales opportunities and expansion of accounts in our Business Development group, specifically working with our Technology Consulting division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage new sales opportunities and expansion of accounts for our Technology Business Consulting services.

  • Understand the value of the consulting services and the iEnvision platform suite.

  • Present the services in a consultative manner to pharma and biotech leadership.

  • Accountable for meeting or exceeding pipeline generation and service revenue targets.

  • Respond to RFIs and RFPs by developing and conducting capabilities presentations, developing proposals and SOWs, and smoothly handing business to Project Management and Consulting teams.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and trust with clients to enable ongoing lead generation.

  • Collaborate with consulting service line leads to advise clients on industry trends and uncover issues and challenges.

  • Maintain an astute understanding of the client’s portfolio, strategic priorities, and market position.

  • Participate in Envision Pharma Group’s Key Account Management process to collaborate and share insights and feedback, with the goal of enhancing ongoing services and solutions.

  • Collaborate with Project Management Senior Director for financial accountability and reporting.

  • Track opportunities in sales management tool

  • Other duties, as assigned

  • Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of business development consulting or relevant sales experience in life sciences and/or technology industries

  • Experience capitalizing on opportunities and managing risks

  • Strong understanding of financial forecasting, reporting, and planning

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong computer and software skills and impactful presentation skills

  • Established relationships within medical affairs, publications, research, and grants preferred

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM experience preferred

  • Ability to make well-informed, effective, and timely decisions; perceives the impact and implications of decisions

  • Ability to act with integrity and urgency for the benefit of the client
