Director

POSITION AVAILABLE (Full-time)

Do you enjoy interacting and caring for children? Would you also like to work with an energetic, fun-loving team? Little Charger Early Learning Center has just the job for you! We are seeking a director for our center. The new director will assist in making decision for our upcoming new facility and aid in the development of the curriculum as well as the daily functions and management of the current center.

The director provides and coordinates the necessary support, resources, supervision, and leadership to ensure the success of care and education to the children at Little Chargers Early Learning Center. The director shall ensure services are provided in accordance with the goals and curriculum developed for the center in addition to the center’s policies and procedures. They will also ensure all requirements, licensing needs, and reports required by the Iowa Department of Human Services are completed and filed appropriately. The director will report to the Little Chargers Early Learning Center Board of Directors with immediate supervision by the Board President.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience working with children
• Certification in CPR, first aid, and Iowa’s training of mandatory reporting of child abuse.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of efficiency in changing from one task to another and establishing priorities
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor with families and staff
• Ability to learn and work with technology
• Ability to manage staff schedules and state-regulated staffing-to-child ratios
