Unity Point Health - Eyerly Ball is seeking Direct Support Professional! As a Direct Support Professional, you will assist individuals living in our residential homes to build healthy sustainable living skills allowing them to achieve the greatest level of independence in the community.

In this role, you will:

• Interact with individuals throughout the day, encouraging independence by assisting individuals with a wide variety of daily living skills
• Participate in group outings and activities, help individuals prepare their meals and assist in other areas as needed or requested
• Transport clients to community outings, appointments and other arranged services as part of their treatment plan
• Advocate for clients always to include in the community and at appointments to help meet their needs, desires and interests
• Distribute medication administration, following established rules and procedures of medication administration

Schedules Available:

• Full time - Every other weekend, working 40 hours/week with one day off during the week
• Part time - Flexible part-time and weekend shifts
• Weekend Package - Friday - Sunday to work three out of four weekends. Base rate of pay plus 50% premium
• Per Required Need (PRN) - Flexible shifts
• Shifts available include 6am-2pm; 2pm-10pm; and 10pm-6am. Shifts worked 6pm-6am receive an additional $2.65/hour

• Enjoys work in a fast-paced environment, managing a variety of tasks with ease
• Ability to de-escalate situations with calmness and care
• Communicate effective both verbally and in writing
• Passion for improving the well-being of a vulnerable population

To be considered you’ll need:

• High school diploma or GED
• Six months consistent work experience
• True passion for helping others
• Valid driver’s license
