Connections Residential Services is an organization committed to providing person centered supports for people with disabilities and mental health needs. We are seeking compassionate, motivated, energetic, dependable Direct Support Professionals to join our team located in Salem, Oregon.

We are hiring full time, part time, and on call positions.

Starting wage for this position is will be determined at hire

Minimum qualification for this position are:

• 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Oregon Driver’s License with a good driving record meeting agency insurance requirements
• Pass a criminal history/back ground check meeting Oregon Administrative Rules requirements

Connections Residential Services will provide all training needed to perform the duties for this position

Duties for this position are as follows, but are not limited to:

• Engaging with individuals constantly throughout shift. Chatting with them, interacting, playing board games, having conversations, etc.
• Attending and participating in leisure outings with individuals
• Assisting individuals with personal cares and hygiene tasks (including showering, tooth brushing, shaving etc.)
• Attending physicians appointments with individuals
• Medication Administration
• Documentation
• Cooking
• House Cleaning

Salary: $13.50 to $18.00 /hour

Duties:

• Reading, writing, and carrying out directions
• Providing companionship and supportive listening
• Charting or taking notes for others to review
• Reporting changes in the health or status of the client
• Taking vitals, height, and weight
• Feeding clients
• Administering medication
• Transporting client to appointments
• Facilitating community and recreational outings, including transport
• Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
• Responding to emergency situations

• Clean Driving Record: 1 year (Preferred)
• dsp: 1 year (Preferred)
