Job description

Looking for a kind, empathetic, energetic and reliable Direct Support Professional for an active young adult who has many interests including enjoyment of culinary activities, music, arts and crafts, motion, and community trips.

Light meal preparation will be required as will assistance with household chores and Activities of Daily Living.

Candidates must be intuitive, have good communication skills, and stay engaged with this person who needs someone with him at all times.

This person lives at home with family; this is not a group home.

Experience working with adults with Developmental Disabilities is preferred. Experience in de-escalation, re-direction, and following behavior plans is a plus.

Flexible schedules and per diem shifts available including day time and overnights for both part-time and full-time work.

Must be willing to have a background check and drug screen.

Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle for transportation.

No smoking permitted on the property.

Must have all COVID vaccinations and boosters.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

• On call
• Overnight shift
• Weekend availability
