Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2+ years of program or project management in injection molding industry or related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Injection molding industry experience that is specific with verifiable skills in project Management, Product and Tool design, Tool construction and Vendor supervision, materials selections and Molding Process Engineering
- Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills with employees at all levels of an organization
- Excellent organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Program Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing new product development as well as engineering change related projects for the Automotive Division
- Starting with customer meetings to understand their needs and requirements, the Program Manager will assist in providing concept drawings, develop initial design, produce and test prototypes, manage tool design and construction, and oversee all aspects of product launch
- Prepare, manage and communicate about master program timelines, APQP and open issues list
- Communicate project status and upcoming milestones, potential risks and countermeasure proposals to cross functional departments and management
- Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities
- Prepare and manage engineering bill of materials and ECI log
- Manage and work with sub-suppliers on their project timelines, readiness, open issues and countermeasures
- Define, plan and manage engineering and customer build activities
- Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications
- Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients
- Direct, review, and approve product design and changes
- Prepare budgets, bids, and contracts, and direct the negotiation of research contracts
- Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
- Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures
- Review and recommend or obtain approval for contracts and cost estimates
- Assist in development and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department
- Set scientific and technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management
- Plan, direct, and coordinate survey work with other staff activities, certifying survey work, and writing land legal descriptions
- Follow up on customer updates on a timely basis with regards to Project Timeline
- Assist in developing and maintaining procedures and reporting systems for Program Management and Project Engineering
- Back up and support Project Engineers, fellow Program Managers in case of vacation or absentees
- Create, update and obtain approval of production packets and release of products to Production
- Handle day to day activities for logistics, budget, budget, personnel, and discipline and project timelines
- Attend assigned production meetings to inform other business units of Engineering activities
- Update and approve NPI, part cost and route for BOM updating and implementation
- Work with Quality in troubleshooting and meeting all Product Quality Standards
- Work with various suppliers on component design and pricing, as well as logistics
- Travel to Customer and Supplier Sites for audits and meetings
- Initiates and handles activities related automotive engineering group

Pay: $49,450.05 - $157,361.32 per year
