Position Summary:
$500 SIGN ON BONUS AFTER 90 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT! Be part of a leadership team that provides daily guidance to Dining Service Staff. The Dining Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the operations of the Dining Center and/or other Dining Services operations by providing customers with consistent quality food and beverage products, delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining a clean, friendly atmosphere. The schedule for this position is Sunday – Thursday, 11:30am – 8:30pm.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the knowledge, skills and abilities to complete the tasks of the position to include: leading a large group of employees; developing staff training and customer service skills; instructing staff in the use and maintenance of food service equipment; creation of weekly staff schedules; standing and walking for extended periods of time; working evenings, weekends, holidays and special events as needed; ensuring cash handling and cash register functions are performed and handled in an accurate and consistent manner; posting menus to the web via the content management system; and following health, safety and sanitation guidelines for overall operations. Must maintain a current knowledge of food safety and sanitation laws.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required along with two years’ experience in food service, preferably in a lead role. Cash handling experience is desired. Previous experience in institutional food preparation would be an additional plus, but not required. A general knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment would be helpful. Weekend work, holidays, and some overtime is required.
