Dining Room/Food Service Aide (1 position Bessemer,MI)
Job description
Non-Exempt, Employee-at-will. Starting wage $12.71/hr.
Work 3 hours per day (10:30–1:30) Monday thru Thursday.
The Dining Room/Food Service Aide will perform a variety of functions that contribute to the smooth operation of the dining room. Must be neat, organized, resourceful and innovative, detail oriented, a team player and capable of independent work. Assists with assembling and packaging foods for dining room and home delivered meals. Serves salads, desserts and beverages. Will bus tables and pre-rinse dishes, sanitize and set up tables. Serves handicapped participants. Will enforce sanitation, safety codes and other laws and rules. Will also perform a variety of skilled tasks. Will assist in food preparation as assigned by cook. Operates the dishwashing machine and assists in kitchen cleanup. Assembles cold food and assists in the dining room. Some kitchen experience is desirable. May fill in for site manager when necessary. Attend meetings and trainings as required. Background check is required. High school graduate or equivalent; 18 years of age minimum.
