JOB SUMMARY

Reports to Global Director of Digital Sales Tools

The main function of this role is to manage a small team of administrators and to provide organization and implementation of product definition for configure, price, quote (CPQ) tools which are offered to our customers, sales representative groups, and channel partners.

The eSales/CPQ site is a web-based global tool that enables sizing and selection, configuration, quoting and pricing of various product lines in the SPX Flow portfolio. It is built in an Oracle/Big Machines environment and is connected directly to SAP production management software. The suite of tools connect to various engineering drawing software packages such as AutoCAD/Inventor and a customer relationship management (CRM) tool.

The incumbent will interact with a range of key stakeholders including product management, engineering, commercial and manufacturing to determine needed changes, improvements, fixes and to determine a prioritized list of projects to complete.

Success in this role requires project management and delegation of projects to a small team, translating customer requirements to a specification that can be used for program development and data table management, a willingness to learn about the products which are sized and configured within the tool, and to understand how each of the various systems are connected. An ability to be able to manage workload efficiently to tight deadlines while balancing multiple projects will be required.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a small team of CPQ Administrators, including contractors.
  • Programming within the Big Machines/Oracle CPQ environment to allow for new CPQ configurations and options, to fix existing processes, and to improve customer speed to quote and accuracy to shop floor production
  • Maintain data tables of available product options
  • Prioritize work with key stakeholders from multiple departments and global facilities
  • The ability to create error definitions when troubleshooting reported error for the appropriate solution to be implemented with subject matter experts (SMEs) and programmers, and subsequent testing of any changes in both test and production environments; User acceptance Testing (UAT) and approval
  • Assist with annual price changes which may require updated data tables or programming calculations

  • Satisfaction metrics: Stakeholder feedback and net promoter score (NPS) results
  • Performance metrics: Timely execution of change requests and projects
  • Sales metrics: Number of CPQ generated quotes which become “lights-out” orders sent directly to the shop floor and customer utilization improvements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Basic knowledge of business processes including engineering, sales, manufacturing, etc.
  • Knowledge of product design flow including ability to understand technical specifications, engineering drawings, part numbers, product structures and routings
  • Good people skills and ability to in team environment
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to high quality work
  • Ability to work independently, balance multiple projects effectively, and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Solid organizational skills in order to structure workload in the most efficient way.
  • Confident manner, able to proactively support peers and contribute to team development
  • Advanced programming skills for XSL, XML, BMQL, or equivalent

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business, or Related field or demonstrated experience in similar role
  • Experience in a CPQ environment highly desired, specifically Oracle CPQ or equivalent.
  • Able to demonstrate relevant technical and/or commercial work experience in industrial / manufacturing business environment
  • Good command of both written and spoken English
