Digital Project Manager
Chemistry is looking to expand its digital team with the addition of a Digital Project Manager. The Digital Project Manager role helps to lead projects from the kickoff to the successful launch with the account team and project team assigned to the client and project. They are a critical communicator that helps to drive the team’s efforts within complicated agile site development, app development, CMS, CRM, and other digital solutions. In addition, they are a team player within the Chemistry team and a liaison with the clients whose projects they’re leading. Digital savvy is a must; experience managing digital projects from start to end, and the various stages are critical for success.
They have experience working with multidisciplinary teams, and you know what it takes to deliver a digital experience that can improve customers' lives and surpass clients' goals. The client services and project delivery worlds are successfully navigated by your proactive communication of project statuses, issues, and opportunities to clients. They adeptly manage the project team, tracking scope, schedule, staffing, and budget on medium to large-sized projects. This person is passionate about digital project delivery and wants to work with large, recognized brands.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Oversees, motivates, and monitors the performance of the project and the internal team while ensuring the quality and timeliness of assignments and addressing any performance gaps within the project.
- Provides sound direction and guidance to team members and helps solve internal complexities regarding project timelines and timing shifts.
- Follows and builds upon our proven process for project management and the steps within for large enterprise solutions.
- Manages the tools utilized for team management and project management and sets up the various necessary start documents or systems.
- Performs standups (daily or as necessary) with the team and participates or leads with client status calls where pertinent.
- Oversees large‐scale projects with responsibility for the full performance of the project (planning, directing, and controlling all fiscal and administrative functions)
- Helps to perfect scopes of work and directly supplies or assists with schedule creation and projected resource needs with other team leads.
- Monitors the progress of assigned projects in an ordered, accurate way and provides accurate and timely information to the management team on the progress of projects.
- Manages execution and coordination and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress within the project management team.
- Leads all financial tracking monitoring and leads scoping hours internally.
- A comprehensive understanding of project reports.
- Identifies problem areas, and implements recovery plans.
- Interprets and understands all of the critical elements of the project schedule to identify adverse trends and take corrective action with a team or self-controlled projects.
- Should apply forward-planning with a schedule to resource the project appropriately.
- Participate in client and internal meetings to assure project success and forward momentum.
- Works directly with the new business team to represent project management and our best practices in front of large client presentations (when/where applicable).
- Intercepts and predicts hardships in regards to staffing control (shortages/ overages/gaps) for their projects
- Oversight of the workflow and processes for the digital team assigned to projects (CX, Strategy, Creative, Dev, etc.)
- Align the team to project goals by sharing client insights and objectives.
- Participate in both client and internal meetings.
- Create an articulate storyline of all client materials.
- Define, negotiate, communicate, implement and monitor quality standards on all project deliverables.
- Manage project communication and document issues and changes that affect the project.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 2+ years of experience managing various digital project types; site builds, eCommerce, marketing campaigns, microsites, apps, SEO, and maintenance.
- Experience with Google Office, Slack, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Teams
- Experience with collaboration and issue tracking tools such as Box, Monday, Team Gantt, Git, Invision, and JIRA.
- Must be able to have a strong understanding of managing and controlling project scope, schedule, budget, resource management/reporting, change management, project roadmap development, and revenue forecasting.
- Must have a basic knowledge of project management principles, methods, and techniques.
- Have experience managing teams and conversations with clients around scope, schedule, and budget, as well as roadmaps, objectives, and strategies.
- Understanding of components and technology used to create websites and apps.
