The Digital Marketing and Social Media Associate is a critical role in the marketing team of the Hospitality Group, as well as a key support function for direct sales efforts. This position will collaborate with sales, marketing, and property teams to activate digital campaigns and social media initiatives in a proactive manner for the hotel and restaurant portfolio.

- Position Responsibilities
Proactively manage social media channels for the portfolio, including Facebook, Instagram, Google and LinkedIn- Follow social media strategies and guidelines in compliance with the hotel brands, leverage appropriate tools, campaign materials, marketing resources and best practices
- Identify and present new media opportunities to increase online visibility and reach
- Monitor data, comprehend analytics and deliver reports
- Assist with photography curation for website and social media channels
- Collaborate with teams to create and deploy relevant email marketing campaigns
- Work with third-party partners, including graphic designers, website developers and digital advertising platforms
- Hotel Brands: Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Best Western
- Search Engines: Google, Bing
- OTAs: Expedia, Booking.com
- Travel: TripAdvisor, CVBs
- Dining: Opentable, UberEats
- Partners: Cvent, WeddingWire
- The Digital Marketing and Social Media Associate reports directly to the Director of Digital Marketing, with a dotted line to the Assistant Vice President of Digital Marketing and Revenue Management.
- The successful Digital Marketing and Social Media Associate has several potential career tracks within our organization. The most obvious next step in their career development could include advancement to the position of Digital Marketing Manager. However, given the synergy of this role with other departments, as well as the collaborative nature of interactive marketing, this position could springboard into any number of positions within the B. F. Saul Company, including new positions that have not been established yet. Advancement is dependent upon the sustained achievement of the requirements described in this position summary.
Digital Activation: Assist with portfolio’s digital optimization, including content creation, edits and enhancement, and distribution across digital media channels.
Digital Optimization:
Responsible for managing the accuracy, placement, and optimization of our portfolio.
Ensure portfolio presence is visible, accurate, up-to-date, and appealing to the user of that channel given the specific context of the site, including:
Ensure content follows brand standards and industry best practices. Identify areas to improve visibility and revenue performance
Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to strategically promote special offers and packages
Other key marketing duties and responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management.

- Position Requirements
- Four-Year degree from an accredited college or university
- Imagination and creativity; open-minded team player with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong understanding of trends across multiple social media platforms
- Experience with design software and content management platforms
- Strong writing skills and experience, as well as excellent proof-reading skills
- A detail-oriented approach, focused on driving results and analyzing data to gain insights and opportunities for growth
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience with analytics software and paid media
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Experience within the travel industry
Experience:
1-3 years of professional experience implementing coordinated marketing campaigns (social media, search engine marketing, and/or email marketing)
