DIETITIAN

SITE OF SERVICE:

• Naval Hospital Corpus Christi, TX.

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree/Education: Successfully graduated from a baccalaureate or graduate degree program from an accredited college or university in a didactic program for dietetics approved by the Commission on Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics Education (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
• Additional Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) hands on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Registration: Possess current registration as a Registered Dietitian from the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Experience: One 1 year of specialized experience in diet therapy after graduation.
• Licensure: Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice as a Dietitian in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Island.
• U.S. Citizenship: Shall be a U.S. citizen
• English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
• Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.

HOURS:

• Services shall be provided Monday - Friday between the hours of 0700 and 1700.
• Individuals will be scheduled for an 8 or 9 hour shift including an uncompensated 30 minute to 1 hour meal break (depending on shift length).

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team-work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
