A Dietary Kitchen Manager is needed at an exciting and face-paced nursing facility in Murfreesboro, TN.

We are currently looking for Dietary Kitchen Manager who will manage labor hours, productivity and efficiency of staff in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Participate in evaluation and hiring of new staff.

• Ensure all employment documentation is provided to designated staff as directed in timely manner

• Schedule staff, review and approve timecards – complete all ADP requirements

• Manage labor hours, productivity and efficiency of staff.

• Complete staff evaluation and submit to designated person in a timely manner

• Order all food and supplies for department

• Maintain inventory and storage of all goods – food and non-food

• Control costs involving food, supplies, and equipment and non-food purchases

• Implement sanitation standards and monitor compliance

• Establish standards for good food quality.

• Train staff in desired food preparation techniques and monitor food quality

• Ensure planned menu is served as planned in appropriate volumes, at appropriate temperatures and at scheduled times.

• Make appropriate recipes available for staff use and monitor compliance.

• Develop and provide alternate food selections as requested by the residents for service at meals and for between meal snacks.

• Conduct the initial food preference interview “Admission Nutrition Interview” .

• Maintain ongoing communication with residents regarding their food preferences.

• Participate in noting resident diets, food preferences, and dislikes on tray card

• Participate in employee training,

• Implement nutrition intervention planned for residents by clinical staff and ensure compliance with designated recipes.

• Address resident’s council concerns and attend meeting if invited.

Qualification/Educational Requirements:

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) or Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Non-accredited individual must complete the certification within 1 year
