AXS Mobility, Corporation was founded in early 2003 to supply wireless infrastructure engineering solutions to the USA, Canada, and Caribbean. AXS manages over 20 thousand sites for two of the largest telecommunication companies providing Preventative Maintenance and Repair for HVAC | Generator, installation, disaster relief and rip & replace. · We invite a seasoned Generator Field Services Engineer to join our team.
About the Role:
The perfect candidate will have an excellent work ethic and exceptionally positive attitude, will be self-motivated, respectful, and the ability to take initiative. · You will manage the overall health, reliability, and life cycle management for all of the customer generator sites within the zone you are assigned (service, repair, modify, diagnosis and rebuild).
· Field Service Engineer is typically assigned a zone size of 300-350 sites with drive time logistics to consist of no more than 3 hours.
· You will cultivate a sense of urgency, pride and quality focus.
· You will ensure data integrity and adherence to Asset-Inventory Management standards.
· It’s expected that you develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels our customer and AXS organization.

The Team:
The Operations Field Service Engineers are AXS Mobility frontline representation in the field with customers, vendors, and landowners and support the Network Operations department as well as various interdepartmental objectives. They represent not only the reputation of excellence and integrity for the Company, but it also represents your reputation as an individual of excellence and integrity.
Day to day you will collect data from all assigned site assets while maintaining high standards of data quality, equipment, maintenance and repairs. You will use our internal software ASTEA for data collection. As an Operations Field Service Engineer, you will partner cross-functionally to manage maintenance and repairs within a geographic area for all generators.

About you:
You will be a self-starter, possessing the ability to manage multiple complex generator maintenance and repair tasks simultaneously. You will execute the production and repair schedule provided by the HQ Field Support Manager and works closely with the Field Services Manager to adjust priorities of work and inject an appropriate sense of urgency in resolving problems make certain generators are 100% reliable and functional. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.
Reporting Relationship:
· The Generator Field Services Engineer reports to the Field Service Manager
Expectations:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. A Generator Field Service Engineer, is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, performing quality preventive maintenance (2 hours per site), and performing new equipment start-ups on standby generator systems, including automatic transfer switches. This position must be able to perform the routines to the highest performance and quality standards with little to no supervision. Our purpose is to minimize priority calls outs within the 12-month preventative maintenance cycle and prevent call backs within less than 90 days preferably zero call backs..
Focused Accountability
· Job activities include dismantling, reassembling, rewinding, repairing and testing of individual mechanical and electrical components and fully assembled generators.
· Provide technical guidance & direction to the client and team members
· Will be the onsite interface with the customer
· Will be required to promptly assemble a detailed very specific report for each job on our automated system ASTEA prior to leaving the site which includes all the specific technical information pertaining to the scope performed.
· Perform failure analysis, emergency field service and/or repairs for customers
· Conduct start-ups, PM service and load bank tests
· Check/repair all supporting systems such as fuel, cooling and electrical systems
· Operation of load banks and recording of instrumentation
· Clean, check, recondition and determine the reusability of used parts
· Able to perform generator repairs of industrial generators as well as preventative maintenance
· Able to perform generator troubleshooting and diagnostics
· Maintains knowledge of updated changes in various models of equipment
· Evaluates and recommends any required repairs
· Excellent customer skills
· Proactively stays up to date on safety training, compliance and knowledge of HAZMAT and DOT requirements utilizing external and internal websites.
· Continually trains and develops to advance to next levels of Generator Service Engineer
· Operate, drive safely, GPS tracking device is 100% and maintain company service truck in pristine condition, accurate count and knowledge of parts-inventory on truck, proudly wear AXS Company provided shirt, ID tag always presenting a professional appearance.
· Able to work OT and on weekends when necessary
· Able to mentor and assist less experienced Service Engineers with difficult tasks successfully
· Able to obtain certifications
Ideal Generator Service Engineer will have | Skills/Knowledge
· Perform routine site audits on assets in an assigned area/zone in an efficient and cost-effective manner, utilizing ASTEA other data collection tools.
· Ensure all assets in said area/zone meet safety, compliance, and asset integrity standards through implementation of the Company’s Standard of Excellence and other management policies by identifying and documenting discrepancies and following through on needed remediation.
· Effectively engage with customers and vendors to manage site maintenance and repairs, ensuring timelines and safety standards are met during site maintenance and repairs and when gathering and processing closeout data for customer expectations are completed and sent prior to going to next site assignment.
· Experience working on generators and related equipment up to 8.5kW – 3500kW
· Meet customer service level agreements by responding quickly to any issues, or emergency response to critical events.
· Possess a working knowledge of the Generator Service position and how it relates to the overall business and its' objectives
· Must conform to company policies and procedures and meet company goals and objectives as well as protect the company assets and interests
· Must be dependable and able to work independently
· Must be able to work flexible hours, days, travel and stay overnight
· Ability to maintain a professional appearance, promote and maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment.
· Approximately 100% of time role will be performed outside of a conventional office environment visiting assets in a Company vehicle.

Requirements
· High School diploma; The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years previous experience (military experience included) servicing 8.5kW – 3500kW generators. EGSA certification is a plus. At a minimum, applicants will have a working knowledge of electrical systems and circuitry as well as some knowledge of diesel engines.
· Have a valid driver’s license, have a demonstrated safe driving record, and be able to travel extensively by truck. Must be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements
· Candidates must have own tools, be able to lift up to 100lbs, be available for overtime and weekend work as needed.
· Kohler or Generac certifications are a plus but will train the right candidate
· Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
· Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and navigate service manuals
· Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment
· Ability to respond to emergency calls as required
· Ability to use a laptop, tablet, and cell phone for all service tickets and correspondence
· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
