• Perform PM’s on mold dies, including blasting, cleaning, disassembly, and reassembly of casting tools
• Mold prep duties, occasional grinding and welding on hot casting tools
• Work on trim dies; changing, adjustment, or sharpening of cutters and other components
• Support Operations calls to work on foundry tools when necessary in order to meet production demands
• Stainless steel tube bending and fitting required to plumb and assemble cooling lines on casting tools
• Capable of welding on both hot and cold casting tools
• Accurately read and interpret prints, work instructions, and other technical documents
• Safely rig foundry tooling to move and lift casting assets
• Operate tool room overhead crane
• Drive a fork truck safely to move foundry tooling
• Media blast foundry tools in the blast booth
• Understand the function of various foundry tooling components
• Possess sound mechanical skills and reasoning
• Regularly scheduled follow up training and competency evaluation will take place annually and be included with an employee’s annual evaluation summary and maintained by HR in the employee records.
• Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the supervisor.
• Complies with the following OSHA Safety Standards: Hazard Communication; Bloodborne Pathogens; Lockout; Permit Required Confined Space; Hot Work Permit; Powered Industrial Trucks; P.P.E. and Ergonomics
• When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job.
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

• Works in a fast-paced environment under minimum supervision. Routine responsibilities and duties involve the use of various procedures and the application of clearly prescribed standards of practice, requiring the use of good judgment. Must work with a high degree of accuracy.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Walking
• Repetitive lifting of objects (under 5 lbs., over 5 lbs.)
• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., keyboarding)
• Carrying pushing or pulling objects (under 5 lbs., over 5 lbs.)
