Job description

The Die Designer will be responsible for creating a strip layout and die design to produce parts per the customer supplied prints/models.

Responsibilities

• Use SolidWorks with Logopress to create die/fixture designs.

• Order tool steel, die sets, parallels, Springs, Punches, etc. for projects.

• Lead design reviews with the customer and team.

• Maintain project tracking documentation.

• Create WEDM blocks in SolidWorks.

• Prepare models for the WEDM process (adding start holes)

• Prepare DXF files and hard copies of drawing for the shop.

• Provide designs that are manufacturable, accurate, meet project scope

• Must follow established design guidelines and standards

Job Requirements

• * 3+ years of experience as a Tool Designer in the metal stamping industry.

• * Computer literacy (SolidWorks, Logopress, Excel, Word)

• * Must have good communication skills.

• * Ability to think outside the box to handle challenging design obstacles.

• * Ability to work independently or with a team.

• * Proficient with mathematics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
